The interior of Rarotonga is surprisingly wild and mountainous. An excellent half day hike follows a decent
but still strenuous trail across the island, passing along the way the Rarotonga needle. You can do the
hike yourself but a local guide known only as "Pa" makes for an engaging companion on the trip.
