Black Canyon Lake lies below the Grasshopper glacier amidst the high peaks
of the Beartooth wilderness. The spectacularly beautiful lake is reached by
a 7.5 mile (one way) hike that follows the trail along the Lake Fork of Rock
Creek before climbing steeply on an unmaintained trail up to the cirque.
